After about one hour and thirty minutes of pleasant navigation, we reach the beautiful hamlet of Ginostra, a charming village on the island of Stromboli accessible exclusively by sea. Here, a first swimming stop is scheduled in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the small landing area, renowned for its tranquility, white houses overlooking the sea, and its harbor, considered one of the smallest in the Mediterranean.
The tour then continues toward Punta dell’Uomo, where a second swimming stop is planned in a particularly clear and scenic stretch of sea, framed by high rocky cliffs shaped by volcanic activity. Navigation proceeds along the western profile of the island until reaching Strombolicchio, a majestic volcanic neck formed over 200,000 years ago and regarded as one of the geological symbols of the Aeolian Islands. The lighthouse perched on its summit dominates the landscape and bears witness to its importance for local navigation.
Next, disembarkation is scheduled at the port of Stromboli, where a long stop of approximately four hours will take place. This time allows visitors to leisurely explore the main street of the village up to the panoramic Piazza San Vincenzo, offering a privileged view over the sea. The surrounding narrow lanes, rich in artisan shops and small traditional houses, provide an authentic immersion into the island’s atmosphere.
Time ashore also allows guests to reach the famous black-sand beaches of the Ficogrande and Piscità districts, or to take a walk to the Labronzo semaphore, a panoramic viewpoint located about 290 meters above sea level, from which one can admire the impressive lava flow of the Sciara del Fuoco and, in the distance, the outline of Strombolicchio.
At the end of the stop, we reboard the boat to continue toward the monumental Sciara del Fuoco, the vast volcanic slope descending from the crater to the sea. Here we will make an extended stop to observe this extraordinary natural spectacle and, with a bit of luck, witness the eruptions of the active volcano that make the Stromboli environment truly unique. The experience will be accompanied by an onboard aperitif, to be enjoyed while immersed in the magic of the sunset and the charm of one of the most iconic landscapes in the entire archipelago.
