ISLAND: FILICUDI
TUESDAY
DEPARTURE: 2:00 PM – RETURN: approx. 10:30 PM
DEPARTURE PORT: Marina Corta – Lipari
After about one hour and thirty minutes of navigation, we reach the evocative southern coast of the island of Filicudi, where a swimming stop is scheduled at the beautiful spot known as Le Punte. This stretch of the island is renowned for its clear waters, volcanic rocks shaped by time, and an especially unspoiled marine environment—ideal for a first swim immersed in silence and Filicudi’s wild nature.
We then continue toward the characteristic seaside village of Pecorini a Mare, where a stop of approximately two and a half hours is planned. Here, visitors can admire up close the typical vuzzaredda, the picturesque boats of local fishermen and a symbol of the island’s maritime tradition. The stop also allows time for a stroll along the small seafront, a break in traditional local venues, or simply enjoying the tranquility of this charming corner of Filicudi.
Resuming navigation along the coast, we reach the monumental Grotta del Bue Marino, the largest and most scenic sea cave in the entire Aeolian archipelago. Nearby, a swimming stop is scheduled—an exceptional opportunity to observe the striking play of light created by sunlight reflecting off the basalt walls and the turquoise waters in front of the cave.
The route then continues toward the Scoglio dei Montenassari and subsequently to La Canna, an impressive volcanic sea stack rising from the sea to a height of about 71 meters. This extraordinary natural monument, shaped over time by marine erosion and wind, represents one of the island’s most fascinating geological landmarks and is especially beloved by photography and geology enthusiasts.
The final stop of the tour will be at the area of Siccagni, where another swimming stop is planned in one of Filicudi’s most evocative and tranquil spots. After the swim, a tasting will be offered on board, to be enjoyed in total relaxation while waiting for twilight and the subsequent sunset, when the colors of the sky and sea make this part of the archipelago even more magical and unforgettable.
The program may be subject to change due to adverse weather and sea conditions.
