ISLAND: SALINA
FRIDAY
DEPARTURE: 10:00 AM – RETURN: approx. 7:30 PM
DEPARTURE PORT: Marina Corta – Lipari

Shortly after departing from Lipari, a first swimming stop is scheduled at the famous Pumice Quarries in the Porticello area. Here, visitors can swim in uniquely turquoise waters, made extraordinarily clear by the white pumice seabed—historic evidence of the island’s former mining activity.

At the end of the stop, after about forty minutes of navigation, we reach the charming hamlet of Rinella, a small and characteristic fishing village located on the south-western coast of the island of Salina. Disembarkation is planned with a stay of approximately two hours, during which guests can enjoy the beautiful black-sand beach and admire the distinctive caves carved into the rock, once used as shelters for fishermen’s boats.

Resuming navigation, we continue along the island’s western coast, passing in front of the impressive Natural Arch of Punta del Perciato, a dramatic rock formation shaped by the action of sea and wind. We then reach the evocative Bay of Pollara, famous not only for its shape—resembling an ancient volcanic crater—but also for having been one of the main filming locations of Il Postino starring Massimo Troisi. In this setting of extraordinary natural beauty, a swimming stop is scheduled, ideal for admiring the clarity of the water and the distinctive geological structure of the coastal amphitheater.

Navigation then continues toward Malfa, sailing alongside vineyards and terraced slopes rich in capers and Malvasia grapes, until reaching Capo Faro, where another swimming stop is planned. This stretch of the island offers enchanting views over the open sea.

We then dock at the port of Santa Marina Salina, considered the island’s main hub, where a stop of about one hour is scheduled. Visitors can stroll along the main street, discover traditional shops and local venues, and enjoy the elegant and lively atmosphere of this town.

The itinerary continues to the nearby hamlet of Lingua, known for its ancient salt pans with brackish waters, from which the entire island takes its name. Here, guests can enjoy one of the famous artisanal granitas, renowned throughout the Aeolian area for their quality and wide variety of flavors—an authentic delight to be savored while overlooking the sea.

The tour will depart with a minimum of 10 participants.

The program may be subject to change due to adverse weather and sea conditions.
